Launch of Toy Tale 2021

Toy Tale 2021 is conceptualized to challenge India’s creative minds to develop unique Toys and Games based on Indian culture and history. It is supported by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and organized by DIC, IIM Kashipur. There are several broad themes for the competition namely Environment, Fitness and Sport, Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning, Indian heritage, culture, mythology, history, ethos, technology, ethnicity, etc. for different age groups. Toy Tales 2021 is a unique opportunity for students, teachers, start-ups, and toy experts/professionals of India to submit their innovative toys/games concepts and win prizes worth Rs.21000. Participants can start registration process by 5th August 2021.

Registration and Idea Submission

Participants should take a look at the problem statements given under themes tab on the Event/ Competition page of If a problem statement seems suitable to you and you have an idea for a toy/game on it, you should prepare the remaining requirements in the form and submit the idea in the prescribed format.

Registration process ends on 31st August 2021

The last date of submission of ideas is 15th September, 2021.

Phase 1 – Online Scrutiny

An online scrutiny by a team of expert evaluators will begin as soon as the ideas are submitted. The evaluators shall judge your idea based on predetermined criteria.
Based on the scrutiny, which will continue till 30th September, 2021 a list of shortlisted teams for Grand Finale will be declared on 10th October 2021.

Phase 2 – Grand Finale – Online Mode

Grand Finale will take place online. You along with your team and mentors will be present on (Date to be Announced). There will be numerous mentoring and evaluation sessions in this time period.

Declaration of Results

Based on the scrutiny in the Grand Finale, the best ideas selected to receive prizes and for online presentation in Toy Tale will be declared.
